#SweetiePies: Holiday Specials for Reality Shows? I think it’s great. To me, that’s the next logical step in that genre’s evolution. However, I was expecting new material, and not just clips from previous episodes. But that’s JMO. Merry Christmas, Miss Robbie! -Redorkulous
Time slot: Saturday, 9PM, ET

Recap / Review: Miss Robbie and her family decorated the Christmas tree, while showing several clips from previous episodes. An antire episode with nothing but clips? For a reality show? Bah! Humbug.
#TheHavesAndHaveNots: Has it reached “Cult” status?
Everybody knows The Haves and The Have Nots is a bullshit show. Low production values. Predictable plotlines. Herendous acting. Amatuer dialogue. Plus, the scenes last too long.
However. I have to watch this show. And IMO, The Haves is developing a “cult” following. Because there’s a fair amount of crappy, low-budget, 3rd-rate movies and TV shows with loyal fans, holding annual conventions. I should know. I’m a Sci-Fi geek. We practically invented the concept of a “cult following.” And I think that’s what’s going on with The Haves.
For no logical reason, there’s a quiet demographic, myself included, who watch this show “in spite of”, and not “because of.” JMO. -Redork
ElizaBrown1206 Said: Sorry, but I really have to ask WHY? Production value sucks, script sucks, acting sucks, plot line sucks…need I go on?
From Redorkulous: Everything you said was True. But to quote Jada Pinkett-Smith, “You can’t pick sense out of nonsense.” And my need to watch The Haves makes absolutely no sense
It’s not a “good” show, per se. But I have to know what happens to these characters. I can’t explain it. I just have to know. SMDH. Don’t look at me! I’m hideous! -Redork

Recap / Review: Overall, it was another boring episode. However. We did have JoyceZilla. SMDH. Loud. Crazy. Disrespectful. Insecure. Selfish. Taking off her shoes, JoyceZilla. And I partly blame Kandi for not clearly expressing some boundaries. Because JoyceZilla is on a rampage. IMO, if you don’t approve of who your 38-year-old daughter is marrying, then you say something. Once. And after you say something. Once. You leave it alone. Now, let’s chat about the other ladies…
Aside from Kandi, these women don’t really have interesting storylines. For instance, Phaedra and Apollo finally moved on from “Text-Gate.” Well, Thank you, Phaedra and Apollo. Because I was getting tired of hearing about it. Porsha went to the hospital with a chronic case of I’m-Not-Getting-Enough-Attention. And her scenes in the Drug Store was some of the most coma-inducing filler this series has ever produced. Lastly, Cynthia and Leon talked about their daughter’s new boyfriend.
And finally, Miss NeNe was all the way wrong, drudging up high-school-hear-say, referring to Phaedra as “The Head Doctor.” Hmmm. I don’t care what nobody say. We all have a past. And why try and diminish someone who’s expanding her family, attending school, and trying to be the best wife that she can be? And I’m no fan of Pheadra’s. But wrong is wrong. And Miss NeNe, you were in the wrong.
To My Fellow Olitz Shippers,
IMO, some people just don’t get it. Olitz is an epic romantic tragedy. It’s supposed to be. That’s the way it was written and conceived. It’s Romeo and Juliet, not Prince Charming and Snow White. And that’s what makes it so compelling. That’s why we’re addicted. It’s two star-crossed lovers. Soul mates. Victims of fate. Kept apart by overwhelming circumstance.
Of course, I want Liv to be happy. But her happiness will always require Fitgerald Grant III. Because that’s only man who can truly make her happy. And should she ever lose Fitz, it’s basically Queen Victoria losing Prince Albert, wearing black for the rest of her life in a perpetual state of mourning.
Will they get married? Have kids? Build a home together? Who knows? But in general… An epic romantic tragedy does not include skipping off into the sunset. And I think Olitz has made their peace with that. For instance, they often speak of their imaginary lives together… making jam.

KevinTranIsMyKing Said: I don’t remember the name of the ep, but it was the elevator scene. I think they were in Defiance (it wasn’t present-day) when Fitz was upset about his dad, or something. You remember the elevator scene right? If Mellie didn’t walk in, he would’ve raped Liv.
From SistaMaryFabulous: Oooooh, that scene! Yeah, I know the episode you’re talking about, KevinTranIsMyKing. Fitz was drunk. Ugh. That whole situation was ugly. And Fitz was dead-azz-wrong for treating Olivia Pope like a common whore. And me, myself and I was none too please. However. I forgave him and moved on. Now, Fitz is OK with me.
I also thought Fitz was wrong for threatening Sally Langston because she left the ticket. He said something like, “You’ll regret this for the rest of your life.” Um, since when do we threaten Grandma Langston? She can leave the ticket if she wants to. It’s a free country. And she did the right thing by giving notice. And again, I got upset. Got over it. And moved on.
But I thought Fitz was justified in dressing down Cyrus, because Cyrus mis-handled the ball (or “balls” depending on which photographs of James that you’re looking at). But I agreed with Fitz, because he had no idea what Cyrus was going through. Just like Cyrus has no clue about what’s going on between Fitz, Liv, Jake, Rowan and Mama Pope.
But, Anyhoo… I think you made a valid point, KevinTranIsMyKing. But since I’ve forgiven Fitz for that ugly, ugly mistake… He’s still OK with me (well, for now). -SMF
KevinTranIsMyKing Said: Don’t pretend like Fitz didn’t almost rape Olivia. But yeah, we don’t gotta talk about it.
From SistaMaryFabulous: Rape? Almost? To my beloved Olivia Pope? When was this? Nothing I can remember resembles that description to me. And, Yes, I’m willing to respectfully talk about it, in the context of a friendly conversation between two fans of the show.
But as bloggers, we try to avoid debating personal opinions, belittling others, or trying to persuade the anonymous. But anyhoo… Which episode has what you, KevinTranIsMyKing, consider to be an “almost rape” situation? I’m curious. -SMF
KevinTranIsMyKing Said: Ew, Olitz is abusive. That needs to end, ASAP.
From SistaMaryFabulous: Hmmm, I don’t think Olitz is “abusive.” And I never said Olitz was a healthy relationship, because it’s not. But I do find it far more interesting to watch than what they’ve been giving us. JMO. And I’m not gonna debate this. I also speak strictly for myself. My friend and colleague, Redorkulous, can express and defend his own opinions. But “abusive”? Nah, I don’t see it. -MaryFab
Kikinickmc Said: It’s all the spy crap for sure. And the show has been off a bit indeed. Hopeful it will be back on.
From SistaMaryFabulous: I agree. And I was watching a YouTube review that said the two main characters are now the most boring folks on the show. And I had never thought about it, but it’s true.
Separately, Liv and Fitz have become a total snore, Zzzzzzzz. They need Olitz to spice things back up. -MaryFab
First off, if you have not been following Scandal from Season 1, Episode 1, Scene 1… you might wanna stop reading right now.
OK. Somebody asked me why I no longer like Scandal. And my response was that I never said that I didn’t like Scandal. As a long-time viewer, I don’t like the new direction the series has taken. All shock-value. No real substance. And another thing…
I’m a YouTube junkie, and I’m sick to death of people, who aren’t educated about the series, trying to use OUR show for a come-up. Don’t give me a YouTube review and you don’t know half the names of the characters. Please. You’re just talking about Scandal to get more subscribers. And you can always tell. And that gets on my nerves.
And I understand all the new viewers love the show, and find no fault. But for those of us who’ve been here from the beginning… I don’t like the new direction of the series. Oh, I’ll still keep watching. But it’s taken a turn for the worse. -SistaMaryFabulous
